KUOW is taking their midday news show "Soundside" on tour for the first time and they're headed to Tacoma for a live show in STUDIO 3 at the Pantages Theater. Meet host Libby Denkmann and special guests as they explore the stories and people that make the Pacific Northwest such a special place to live. Plus, you’ll get a peek behind the scenes of a live-taping and how a radio show comes together. This is your chance to experience the magic of public radio live and in-person.
For this special live show, we'll explore Tacoma's arts and culture scene. Tacoma, otherwise known as “Grit City,” has turned into an unlikely fashion haven. What sets it apart in the Pacific Northwest and beyond? What does it take to compete nationally? You'll hear from designers about their industry and their push to challenge the popularity and prevalence of hiking and outdoor-based fashion here in the PNW.
