Who was Kate?
Kathleen Rockwell ('Klondike Kate') was in love with Alexander Pantages, who promised to marry her while using her money to fund the building of this lavish venue. Once it was completed, he ran away with a violinist from Seattle instead. Kate lost her breach-of-promise lawsuit and now is believed to haunt the venue.
